Former St. Louisan Vedad Ibisevic sends the soccer fans of Bosnia and Herzegovina into ecstasy by scoring the only goal of the game against Lithuania in the 68th minute to qualify Bosnia and Herzegovina for its first trip to the World Cup. Ibisevic redirects a centering pass from five yards out for his history-making goal at S. Darius and S. Gireno Stadium in Kaunas, Lithuania. He will score Bosnia and Herzegovina’s first-ever World Cup goal in a 3-1 tournament-opening loss to Argentina. Bosnia and Herzegovina will not advance past the group stage in its only appearance in the World Cup.
