The St. Louis Storm lose 6-5 on the road to the San Diego Sockers despite two goals and an assist from future U.S. Soccer Hall of Famer and Indoor Soccer Hall of Famer Predrag Radosavljević, better known as Preki. One of the top all-around players in the history of U.S. soccer, Preki will score 389 goals indoors, including 113 in 91 games with the Storm from 1990-92. He started his professional career outdoors in his hometown with Red Star Belgrade, and will play outdoors in England with Everton and Portsmouth. He will acquire U.S. citizenship in 1996 and will be named to the U.S. National Team at age 33. He will play 28 games and score four goals for the United States from 1996-2001. He will star in MLS for the Kansas City Wizards, and will score 71 goals from 1996-2000 and 2002-2005. He will be named to the MLS Best XI in 2005 at age 42. He will be head coach of two MLS teams, and of the USL’s St. Louis FC in 2017.
