The St. Louis Soccer Park hosts the Women’s Professional Soccer All-Star Game before 4,115 fans. The WPS All-Stars, who include St. Louis Athletica players Lori Chalupny, Eniola Aluko, Tina Ellertson and Hope Solo, defeat Swedish champion Umeå IK, 4-2. Chalupny, a St. Louis native, plays the entire match, Ellertson the first half and Solo the second half. Aluko misses the match while on international duty with England’s National Team. Christine Sinclair scores twice in two minutes early in the second half and Kristine Lilly and Marta add single goals in the first half for the WPS All-Stars.
