Vedad Ibisevic scores three goals and adds an assist for Bosnia and Herzegovina in its opening World Cup qualifying match, an 8-1 rout of Lichtenstein at Rheinpark Stadion in Vaduz, Lichtenstein. Ibisevic, who immigrated to St. Louis as a teenager and played at Roosevelt High School and one year at St. Louis University, scores twice on headers in the 33rd and 40th minute. He nets his third goal in the 83rd minute. Ibisevic assists on a goal by Edin Dzeko, who also has three goals. Bosnia and Herzegovina will go on to qualify for the 2014 World Cup by finishing first in UEFA Group G with an 8-1-1 record. Ibisevic will be the second-leading goal scorer in Group G with eight.
