Oct. 9, 2018: The Taylor and Kavanaugh families hold a news conference at Mathews-Dickey Boys’ & Girls’ Club to announce the launch of the #MLS4theLou campaign to bring an expansion Major League Soccer franchise to St. Louis. The Taylor family owns St. Louis-based Enterprise Holdings, the world’s largest car rental company. Jim Kavanaugh is chief executive officer and co-founder of World Wide Technology, a global technology solution provider with $12 billion in annual revenue that is headquartered in St. Louis. The efforts of the Taylor and Kavanaugh families over the next few months will result in the award of an MLS expansion franchise to St. Louis on Aug. 20, 2019.
