Christian Brothers College rips the Berlin Rangers, reputed to be Canada’s best team, 5-2, at Athletic Park. The outcome reverses the result of the Rangers’ first game of its St. Louis visit when the Canadians routed a combined Shamrocks-Globes team, 8-0, on Dec. 29. “The local men ran the visitors off their feet in the early stages of the contest and had everything their own way thereafter,” The St. Louis Republic reports in its Dec. 31 description of CBC’s victory. Arthur Granville leads CBC with two goals. The Canadians protest in vain that referee Lawrence Riley does not enforce the offisides rule as it is interpreted in Canada.
